Risk Warning

Last updated: 19 October 2026

This Risk Warning explains the nature of the quotation data provided by QUOTC LLC (“QUOTC”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and the risks associated with its use.

1. QUOTC provides generated quotations

QUOTC quotations are generated algorithmically using proprietary discrete computation. They are not official exchange quotations, live market prices, or a record of actual transactions. They do not reflect the actual state of the foreign exchange market.

QUOTC does not provide an official exchange or interbank market feed through its generated quotation service. The values supplied by this service must not be interpreted as prices observed on an exchange, prices offered by a bank or broker, or prices at which a real financial transaction can be executed.

Currency-pair names such as EUR/USD identify the generated data series. Their use does not establish that the values correspond to the actual exchange rate of those currencies.

This distinction applies to all generated quotations supplied by QUOTC, whether accessed through the API, displayed in charts, stored as historical records, or used in another application.

2. Generated behaviour is not actual market activity

Generated data may display trends, reversals, fluctuations, and other patterns resembling movements in financial markets. Such resemblance does not mean that the data represents real supply and demand, liquidity, trading activity, economic events, or price discovery.

Any open, high, low, close, volume, timestamp, or other field must be interpreted according to the QUOTC API documentation. The presence or naming of these fields does not make the response an official market record. In particular, a field named “volume” must not be assumed to represent actual exchange trading volume.

Availability during weekends, public holidays, or market closures means that the generation service is operating. It does not mean that an underlying exchange is open or that real currency transactions are taking place at the generated prices.

3. No investment advice or executable price offer

QUOTC provides data and technical access to that data. Our quotations, website content, documentation, examples, and support communications do not constitute investment advice, a trading recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell a financial instrument.

Generated quotations are not forecasts of actual currency prices. They must not be treated as a substitute for independently verified market data when a decision requires actual market prices.

Providing a quotation does not constitute a commitment by QUOTC to execute, settle, or honour a transaction at that value.

4. Financial risks

Trading and investing involve the risk of financial loss. Depending on the product and its terms, you may lose some or all of the funds committed. Leveraged products may create additional exposure.

Using generated quotations to make decisions about real financial instruments can produce misleading conclusions because the generated series does not represent actual market conditions.

Results obtained from simulations, backtests, demonstrations, or strategies using QUOTC data do not establish how a strategy would perform in a real market. They do not account automatically for actual execution prices, liquidity, spreads, commissions, slippage, or other trading costs.

No chart pattern, historical result, or test outcome guarantees future performance or profitability.

5. Technical and operational risks

Access to quotation data may be affected by maintenance, software errors, network failures, infrastructure outages, account restrictions, expired keys, or incorrect integration settings.

Data may be delayed, unavailable, duplicated, received out of order, or processed incorrectly by a connected application. Unless expressly agreed in a separate binding agreement, uninterrupted or error-free delivery is not guaranteed.

You are responsible for testing your integration, validating received data, protecting credentials, and implementing appropriate handling for interruptions and unexpected responses.

An active API key or a successful connection does not guarantee continuous availability or suitability for a particular use.

6. Responsibilities when displaying or distributing data

If you display or distribute QUOTC quotations through your own platform, you must clearly identify them as generated quotations that do not represent actual market prices.

This information must be visible to users in the context in which they view or use the data. You must not describe QUOTC-generated quotations as official exchange data, actual interbank rates, or verified records of real transactions.

If your platform also uses genuine market data, you must distinguish the two sources clearly. Switching between them must not create the impression that the generated series is a continuation of actual market activity.

You are responsible for your platform’s presentation, customer disclosures, transaction rules, and compliance with applicable law. Access to QUOTC does not itself authorise any regulated financial activity.

7. Third-party platforms

Third-party platforms may use QUOTC data within their own products or services. Their trading rules, execution arrangements, balances, payments, and customer relationships are separate from QUOTC’s provision of data.

The appearance of QUOTC quotations on another platform does not, by itself, establish that QUOTC operates, regulates, endorses, or guarantees that platform.

Review the relevant third party’s terms and risk disclosures before using its services.

8. Scope of this warning

This warning describes material risks but does not cover every possible technical, financial, or legal consequence of using generated data.

Nothing in this warning excludes or limits any right, obligation, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
